Are you struggling with your sexual orientation, gender identity, or trauma related to social acceptance of your sexual preferences?

As a gay therapist, I know firsthand how meaningful it can be to sit with someone who understands what it is like to be LGBTQ+ without needing extra explanation or being afraid of being judged.

My own lived experience as a queer person deeply informs the openness, empathy, and affirmation I bring to the therapeutic relationship. Many clients seek me out specifically because they want to work with a queer therapist, someone who “gets it.”

My Approach to LGBTQ+ Therapy

In our work together, all parts of your identity are welcome. Whether you’re exploring your sense of self, navigating coming out or relationship dynamics, working through internalized messages, processing trauma, or simply wanting a therapist who feels aligned, I show up with compassion, curiosity, and attunement. My approach is collaborative and grounded in genuine care for your lived experience.

My background includes working in several LGBTQ+ clinics and nonprofits throughout the Bay Area, including Queer LifeSpace and SF Therapy Collective in the Castro, as well as The Spahr Center in Marin.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years volunteering on a national LGBTQ+ support hotline, listening to queer people from all over the country share their stories. Those early conversations shaped my commitment to this work and reinforced how essential affirming support truly is.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of supporting individuals across the full spectrum of our community, from queer youth finding their voice, adults navigating identity or relationships, and elders carrying decades of experience.

Working with LGBTQ+ clients is a core passion and one of the main reasons I became a therapist.
